Starting the Game:
The game is designed to allowed up to 4 players. Once all of the players
have joined, any one of them may Start the Game.
Use the cursor keys to move to the appropriate board position and enter
your Tile. If you have a problem with cursor movement - set NumLock ON as
the program will read 8,6,4,2 as the appropriate Cursor Keys. QModem users
can use the DoorWay Mode (Alt-=) and all keys will work as expected.
Tiles may be picked up and returned to your hand by moving to the letter

SCRABBLE HELP & RULES
---------------------
Here are the rules for playing Scrabble:
The first player combines two or more of his letters to form a word and
places them on the board to read either across or down with one of those
letters on the center square. Diagonal words are not permitted.
The second player, and those after, each in turn, add one or more letters
to those already played so as to form new words. All letters played in
any one turn must be placed in one row across or down the board. They must
form one complete word and if, at the same time, they touch other letters
in adjacent rows, they must form complete words, cross-word fashion, with
all such letters. The player gets full credit for all words formed or
modified by his play.
New words may be formed by:
1. Adding one or more letters to a word or letters already on the board.
2. Placing a word at right angles to a word already on the board. The new
word must use one of the letters already on the board or must add a
letter to it.
3. Placing a complete word parallel to a word already played so that
adjoining letters also form complete words.
No letter may be shifted after it has been played.
The two blank tiles may be used as any letter desired. When playing a
blank, the player types in what letter it represents, after which it cannot
be changed during that game.
A player may use his turn to exchange all, some or none of the letters in
his hand. He does so by discarding them, drawing the same number of tiles
(which is done automatically) and then he awaits his next turn to play.
All words labeled as a part of speech (including those listed of foreign
origin, and as archaic, obsolete, colloquial, slang, etc.) are permitted
with the exception of the following: words always capitalized,
abbreviations, prefixes and suffixes standing alone, words requiring a
hyphen or an apostrophe.
The game ends when all tiles have been drawn and one of the players has
used all of the letters in his hand or until all possible plays have been
made.
The score for each turn is the sum of the letter values in each word
formed or modified in the play, plus the additional points obtained from
placing letters on premium squares.
The letter and word premiums (double and trip word and double and triple
letter scores) apply only in the turn in which they are first played. In
subsequent turns, letters previously played on premium squares count at
face value.
When two or more words are formed in the same play, each is scored. The
common letter is counted (with full premium value, if any) for each word.
Any player who plays all seven of his tiles in a single turn, scores a
premium of 50 points in addition to his regular score for the play.
At the end of the game when there are no tiles to draw, each player's
score is reduced by the sum of his unplayed letters. If one player has
used all his letters, the above procedure applies to the other players; in
addition, the player who used all his letters receives the sum of the
unplayed lettes of all the other players. The player with the highest
score wins the game. In the event of a tie, the player with the highest
score before tallying the value of unplayed letters is the winner.
